CHICAGO, IL — United Northwest Side has endorsed Sarah Bury for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD). United Northwest Side is a grassroots independent political organization that brings neighbors together to advocate for equity, justice, and accountable government across Chicago’s Northwest Side communities.

“United Northwest Side is proud to endorse Sarah Bury for MWRD Commissioner,” the organization said in a statement. “Our members know that Sarah's expertise and significant experience working on environmental and water-related issues across Cook County make her uniquely qualified for the role. Just as importantly, Sarah's strong track record of progressive organizing makes us confident that she will continue to show up for our communities in the future, as the MWRD works to solve complex problems in an era of climate change and environmental challenge.”

Sarah welcomed the endorsement, stating:

“United Northwest Side has been a powerful voice for neighborhood leadership and collective action. I am honored to have their support, and I look forward to working alongside them to ensure that the MWRD reflects the values of clean water, climate resilience, and community voice for all Cook County residents.”

This endorsement highlights the growing neighborhood momentum behind Bury’s campaign. With recent endorsements from Our 40th Chicago, Network 49, and now United Northwest Side, her campaign continues to build a citywide coalition rooted in community values and grassroots power.
