CHICAGO, IL — Network 49, an independent political organization based in Rogers Park, has endorsed Sarah Bury for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD). Known for advocating equity, justice, and neighborhood power, Network 49’s support reflects a growing grassroots movement behind Bury’s campaign.
This marks the second neighborhood IPO endorsement in recent weeks, signaling a surge of community-driven support for Sarah’s vision of a more transparent and accountable MWRD.
“We appreciate Sarah's record of hard work on numerous initiatives Network 49 has committed to over the years. Her energetic and powerful run for MWRD Commissioner inspires us. Her responses to the questionnaire reflected both a commitment to and understanding of the position and its potential for people all over the county,” added Network 49 Co-Chair Katy Hogan.
Sarah welcomed the endorsement, stating: “Network 49 has long been a leader in organizing neighbors to demand better from government. I am deeply honored by their endorsement, and I will bring that same spirit of accountability and community voice to the MWRD.”
With support from grassroots organizations like Network 49, Sarah’s campaign continues to build broad, neighborhood-based momentum across Cook County.
