CHICAGO, IL — Sarah Bury joined Michael James, host of 'Live from the Heartland' to discuss her background and how flooding impacted her childhood, connecting it to current flooding challenges across Cook County. She explained the role of the MWRD, the need to restore community voice, and the importance of preparing sewer systems for the future — including the capacity needed for expected climate refugees.

Listen to their full discussion to hear more on Sarah's ideas for restoring community voice at the MWRD and preparing infrastructure for climate resilience and climate refugees.

Early voting is now open for the March 17th Democratic primary.
